Mentorship Basics
Q: Is this therapy?
No. This is not therapy, and I am not a licensed therapist. Mentorship is a form of support that blends emotional insight, Catholic spirituality, and daily accompaniment to help you understand what you’re carrying and move toward healing. If you’re looking for clinical mental health care, I’d be happy to help you find a Catholic therapist.
Q: How does daily mentorship actually work?
You’ll receive daily check-ins from me (Monday through Friday) via voice memos. You can reply at your own pace — and together, we reflect, process, and explore what’s coming up in your heart, mind, and life. It’s personal, flexible, and deeply relational.
Q: Can I do this if I’m already in therapy or spiritual direction?
Absolutely. Many of my clients work with a therapist or spiritual director and use mentorship as an added layer of weekly accountability and reflection. If you’re unsure, I’m happy to talk it through with you.
Q: Is this spiritual direction?
It’s similar, but not the same. We do talk about prayer, discernment, and your relationship with God. I’ll encourage you in your spiritual life and help you notice where God might be moving. What I won’t do is give you specific theological assignments or walk you through the Catechism chapter by chapter. This space is more focused on accompaniment — integrating your faith with what you’re carrying emotionally and mentally.
Q: What if I’m not in a crisis? Can I still do this?
Yes. You don’t have to be in crisis to need support. This is for the Catholic who feels stuck, disconnected, emotionally exhausted, or just unsure where to go next. You are allowed to start before it gets too heavy.
Q: Is this only for women?
No. I mentor both Catholic men and women who are open to honest, heart-centered reflection and want to grow emotionally and spiritually.
